If you want help registering a boat in Delaware, we can assist you! We’ll provide you with the current application and instructions from the Delaware Division of Fish & Wildlife, submit your completed application and documentation, and act as your liaison with the State.
While only you can complete the application, we will take the time required to work with you to assure the necessary documentation is submitted to obtain your registration from the State!
The agency that handles boat registration in Delaware, the Delaware Division of Fish and Wildlife, will provide a State of Delaware certificate of registration listing the name and address of the owner and details from the registration application to be signed and kept on board the boat to be presented for inspection upon request, and two validation decals to be affixed to the hull of the boat.

Foreign clients may also find value in a verification letter issued by the State of Delaware boat registration office that lists some of the boat details. This must be specifically requested by the client at the point of registration because the letter is not a standard part of the State of Delaware boat registration process.
Also optional is the listing of the boat name. If you need the boat name to appear on the registration and/or verification letter, you must let us know so that we can relay that information to the State.

Processing times can vary according to individual circumstances. You should plan on at least a 7-10 business day turn around once everything is received from you to get started. If needed on an expedited basis, you may need to consider the 1 business day hand-delivery option.
In order for us to be able to help you register your boat in Delaware, we will need the client-completed Delaware Boat Registration and the original supporting documentation (ie: a Manufacturer's Statement of Origin if it is new vessel, or a title signed over to the client or the corporation if it is a used vessel) for the applicable situation, and payment in advance. The documents may be kept on file with the Delaware Division of Fish & Wildlife.
All documents must be in English, or accompanied by the English translation with affidavit of translator. We can provide a referral to a local translation service upon request.
