Secretary of State

The Secretary of State’s pages make starting a business in Florida a pleasure rather than a chore. The Division of Corporations is the branch of the Secretary’s office responsible for overseeing the incorporation process. Taxes

As a business, if you have a Florida “Nexus”, you are subject to Florida income tax. Visit the Florida Department of Revenue to find out how more about the tax obligations that you may have. The Tax Law Library is an interesting place to visit. It is filled with statutes, Attorney General’s Opinions, and Court Case Decisions regarding various tax issues.
